It’s not surprise that with September comes a bump in visitation to book and magazine sites. Students are back in class, teachers are constructing curriculums, and people are stocking up on reading material as the temperature drops and picnics become…well…less appetizing.

The below are the top ten fastest growers in the Books and Magazines category for September. Most are educational resources but a few are beyond the scope of the classroom. One example is DoubleDayLargePrint.com, which specializes in large print book orders online.  The site has a pretty consistent following but it looks like the seeing impaired–potentially an older audience–will be doing a lot more shopping for readable literature as the seasons shift. This is a counterargument to the steady accumulation of business for eReaders and sheds some light on the demographics most likely to succumb to reading off tablets and other devices.
