According to mint.com, holiday spending is up this year.  Performance in the electronics category is especially strong; Nordstrom and Banana Republic are leading the luxury retail category.
P.S. Kudos to the designers at mint.com for making snowflakes out of dollar signs. Few images articulate the holiday season so succinctly.
